I seriously doubt that collision damage will be covered by your comprehensive. Doesn’t matter if the vehicle is moving, who’s behind the wheel - if anyone.

A collision is a collision, and almost always incurs a whopping deductible compared to “comprehensive” damage caused by, say, a falling tree.

my insurance company has something called storage insurance. basically covers me if something were to happen but dont require me to pay for all the liability as its just parked and not moving for the next 6 months.
