King Dome remote

We purchased a 2007 Newmar that has a King Dome AutoScan sat. system. When we did our pre delivery walk-through with the dealer, we failed to notice that the remote for the sat. system was missing....No big deal, I guess except that a new remote from KD will cost more than $100!!!. Seems like a lot of money for a remote, and I am reluctant to spend that kind of money without knowing whether the system even works. Anybody have sugestions?

Thanks, Hal...I haven't had much luck with either google or Remotes.com...a ton of remotes come up, but none that I can see for the King Dome, as yet...

I hated to whine about it, it's ony $100 or so, but it's a matter of me feeling like I'm getting ripped off....

Safe travels, all.

Here's an update on my remote issue...when I decided to bite the bullet and call KD to order a new remote, I was told that that model was out of production and not avail....But the tech I spoke with said that they had some "reconditioned" remotes for less than half the cost of a new one. Got it today.
Now, can anyone tell me where the external wire harness that plugs in to the end of the controller is located on my '07 Ventana?
Thanks in advance.

Just bite the bullet and replace the whole system. It will cost more than $100
