Kinked sink drain

I have a 2011 Monaco Knight that I purchased 18 months ago. It's a great unit EXCEPT the kitchen sink drain kinks when the galley slide is brought in so bad that it doesn't "unkink" when the slide is out. Every time we wash the dishes I have to reach under the sink and hold the drain open until the water drains, not fun.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems with the Knight or other type MHs?

Thanks you,

Steve

I had another coach brand where the installer had not allowed enough slack in the drain to accommodate the slide and it flexed until it split. Sounds like yours is kinking instead. Replacing or re-routing the hose is not usually all that difficult and the drain will be a standard hose of some sort.

Sadly, there is often a lot of variation in how this stuff gets installed. Maybe a different guy was filling in on the assembly line the day your coach was built and he didn't get it quite right.

Suggesting that a different guy was filling in on the assembly line, presupposes that that there is an assembly line. I seriously doubt that any of the RV manufacturers are that well organized.

They really are. I've toured four different RV plants and they all had real assembly lines that operate on a fixed time schedule. You better finish your task in the time allotted, cause that RV is moving on! But they move in discrete steps, not continuously like an auto maker line. And they do complete tasks, like installing all water lines or installing cabinets. Not just tightening 4 bolts on the left front fender.
