Kitchen Sink

I have a 2009 Winn. Journey and the DW wants a bigger kitchen sink. Has anyone try this? I think Home Depot such have to sink she wants. I'm worry about trying to cut the Corain counter top. Any information would be a big help. Thanks

If there is space under the sink base for the one you want. Why not check to see if there is a craftsman that will cut the bigger hole for you? Check around for an installer that can do this for you, might cost a few dollars to get it done. Then you install the new sink. I don't think it would cost too much.

How to Cut Corian With a Circular Saw | Home Guides | SF Gate

I've heard some recommend the Festool TS 55 REQ saw but that is like $600 and you don't really need perfect cuts under a sink unless of course, your sink is under-mounted.... My takeaways were to go very slow and use a very fine blade like that in a tile saw.

Corian works just like wood using carbide tipped saw blades. A routed with a pattern bit using a pre-cut pattern would be the easiest way to make a bigger hole if you have room.

find the sink you want that will fit. Find a cabinet shop pay them to install it. You wont regret it. If they make a mistake they pay for fixing it. You cut the opening wrong, cut the wrong thing with the saw. cut through a brace it is your problem. Pay a few bucks to Angie's list look on their for reputable kitchen counter top installers and get them to do it.
