Kitchen sink faucet.
Hi,
Our faucet in our Tiffin 2011 Allegro is leaking and I am thinking of replacing rather than fixing it.
We have seen a couple of residential units that are appealing. Would they be interchangeable? Any possible problems that you foresee?

I just replaced ours and the only thing I to do that was different from the original faucet was to put a hose-end adapter on the lines from the faucet to the coach lines. Easy peasy.

Depends on the original faucet connections .
Residential set hooked right up to the Newmar plumbing, in my MH. Ten minute job; after clearing the pots and pans for access of course.

The kitchen faucet was the very FIRST thing I changed out when I bought the coach back in 2003 from the original owners. The OEM faucet had hard water deposits all over it plus it looked more like a RV faucet versus a residential one.
So, the one I installed lasted from 2003 till 2012 when the base of the swivel part started to rust. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one to my liking in Tulsa OK where we were at the time so I bought something close.
Well, after using it a few times I absolutely hated it and complained every time I went to use it.
Finally, one day I ripped it out and replaced it with THIS one that I bought at OSH Hardware with a 15% discount coupon. I believe I paid about $160 after discount.
This one should last a long time and looks great on the sink.

Hard to beat a Moen, to rebuild it-shut water off, remove old cartridge and replace with new-voila-all moving parts are replaced. The new finishes are guaranteed for life.

Very short answer: YES, nothing special at all in many cases
Things to consider:
Some RV sinks the faucet arm is also the sprayer.. Some it's not
IF the sprayer comes up through the "Base" then you can use either type when you replace, IF it comes up through a hole of its own... You can still use either type but you will need a block off plate for that hole. Same store has 'em,

Not so fast! ... just like a S+B, there are a few things to consider. In addition to the connections being correct or adaptable, make sure it's not too tall or to short, the spout is not long or short (extending too far into the sink or not far enough), and make sure whatever lever design you choose has room to work (some newer side levers can strike a backsplash or window sill). Take some pictures of your old sink and faucet and bring them along for reference. You'll be amazed at how many faucets won't work in a given location.

X2. I replaced our kitchen faucet about 3 weeks ago. I had to buy adapters to fit the old style plumbing in our 2005 coach to the new style plumbing connectors now available.
Before my wife decided upon a style she liked at Home Depot I went to a plumbing supply shop and they had a new faucet just like my old faucet with the same connectors. My wife did not like the old faucet so I kept looking till she was happy. Now I'm happy.
Easy to install after I had adapters.

I replaced my oem faucet with a Moen. No issues in replacement on my 2009 Phaeton.

Thanks everybody for your input.
As was so wisely pointed out if the wife is happy, I am happy.
We will buy a faucet with the extendable hose and use the hole from the previous separate sprayer for a soap dispenser.
