Koni 99’s

I have a 2005 Alpine Coach, 33K GVWR, current weight is 30K. It has Koni 88’s that are 6 years old with 30K miles. We are not the original purchaser of the shocks, so the warranty does not apply. Front shocks need to be replaced. It seems common for the 88’s to fail after 20-30K miles on a coach in this weight category.

I’d like to hear from owners of similar or heavier coaches who have the Koni 99 series shocks on the front and have logged at least 20K miles.

Specifically:
What shocks did you replace?
Was there a noticeable improvement in ride quality over the previous shocks when new?
Are the Koni shocks still performing as new after 20K+ miles?

I am not looking for feedback on Road Kings or any other brand, nor am I looking for links to published reviews or comparisons of “Koni v Road King”. Please just provide your personal experience with the Koni 99 series shocks.

Thank you.

There’s a thread on the Entegra Forum worth reading.
Koni Evolution 99B3234 installed on 2016 Anthem IFS.
