Kuhmo tires
I've just put a set of Kuhmo KRS03 tires on the Dip.
Their size is 275-70 R22.5.
The dealer cannot seem to get me a load/pressure chart for the tires. He can only tell me that the tires are rated for a load of 6944 lb.(S) and 6393 lb.(D) at a pressure of 145-148 psi.
For obvious reasons I want to adjust my tire pressure to the actual rate of the rig. I've tried a google search but no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

No idea about your ratings, but the wheel is only rated at 125psi max. What are the load range of the tires? The load range should be very similar to the G670 good years or the XZA michelins. Fully loaded you still shouldn't be over 105 psi on the tires. Weight the coach and check out a tire chart for the Goodyear or Michelins,

Call Kuhmo and inquire: "Our Quality Assurance Customer Service is available Monday – Friday, 7am – 5pm PST,
at 1-800-445-8646, option 1."
My 22.5" aluminum rims state "maximum air pressure 120 PSI", bet yours are the same.
What is molded into the Kuhmo sidewall for max air pressure?
P.S. I've been searching for a Kuhmo load/inflation chart to no avail. I did not even find a 275/70R22.5 tire on the Kuhmo commercial tire website. Nor did I find any Kuhmo commercial truck tire that inflated to 148 PSI.

Thanks for the advice guys. Good call on the max rim pressure. I doubt I'd have ever gone that high, but am now aware of that limitation.
I've actually graphed the Michelin and Goodyear tables and I would expect the Kuhmo pressures to behave the same way. It appears at this point I'll need a few extra pounds to get the same load capacity. But well below 125 psi.
I'll call Kuhmo Monday and get it straight from the horse's mouth.

I found this: KRS03 - Kumho Tire USA, Inc. It doesn't show a KRS03 tire in the 275 x 70 size......there is a 265 x 70 and the inflation for max koad is listed. Maybe this will help some.

Kumho tires are great but their website is terrible. Do call. If your tire installer put in 145 lbs you should immediately let out about 20 lbs and should get a new tire guy.

When I was looking to replace my tires four years ago, a local dealer suggested Kumho 245/70R 19.5 don't remember the model. I did some research and found the tries were only rated for 55 MPH. Didn't buy them and went to another dealer.

If they are steel wheels it's probably 120 psi as our OEM wheels were. Alcoa's like we have now will take 125 as I remember. Would have to get a flashlight and go look to verify though.

If a tire manufacturer doesn't publish a load/pressure chart them you should set them at the pressure as shown on the sidewall.
Be sure and check what the max speed is also as someone already mentioned.

I'm not home right now so can't tell you the tire rating, but I do know they are as high, or higher, than the original goodyears they replaced so no problem with speed. Not that I drive 75 mph anyway. I'd be bankrupt before I got to the sunshine state, lol.
The dealer put 100 psi in. That seems correct, I'm just sufficiently anal that I want to see the numbers. I'll let you know what Kuhmo tells me.

end of puzzle
Well we finally have the answers. The dealer got me the numbers from Kuhmo. Very similar to the Goodyear G670 with 5880 and 5490lb. at 100 psi.
The US contact didn't have much luck as it turns out that this particular size of this Kuhmo tire is not sold in the states. At least it doesn't show up on their computers. Wierd.
