Hi jarias,
Since you have little history with the engine, have it checked out by a certified shop. Make sure the engine is performing as it is designed. If you still unhappy, Jon's company has an excellent product line up for you to consider.

Can't that 8.3 be chipped anywhere from 300 to 450 HP?
What year and rating is it?
Some are limited by the torque rating of the trans, but I'm pretty sure a cummins shop will reprogram it to that limit.

As brazel said, anything you can do to remove flow restrictions, intake or exhaust side, will help. But the chip is where the rear power is.

Have you taken it to a Cummins facility and have the engine checked for any problems?

First thing I think of in this situation is fuel filter partially clogged. Been there etc.

I agree with Doc. Also, been there and done that. Had low power and then changed my fuel filters. Made a lot of difference. I have and EGT and Boost gauge. With a partially blocked fuel filter the EGTs drop and without a good heated exhaust the turbo can't spin up and make boost so you loose power.

How fast are you able to go up the hills? What's the grade? My 300HP Cat climbs the 6% grade for 8 miles out of Bullhead City at 55MPH without "flooring" it.
