Laminate Hardwood floors-slideout

I am looking to replace the floors in my coach soon. I will be replacing the linoleum and definitely ripping out the carpet. For me carpet is an allergy hazard as with even consistent vacuuming one can't get out all of the particles.

Our FW is parked on property surrounded on all four sides by national forest. The area in the immediate area is red clay rock and sand, which gets tracked in no matter what. Taking your shoes/boots off every time you walk inside is not an option right now because we are working there. We do try to take our dirty footwear off and there are mats outside and towels and mats inside, but there's just no way to keep the dirt out.

There are also lots of leaves and pine needles and dead bugs and all the things you have when you're out in the boonies.

And then there are the three cats.

If you've ever looked at the pad under carpeting, you'll understand why some of us don't like carpet at all. I don't have any in my bricks and sticks, either.

We never vacuum our carpeting any more...well at least manually. I bought an iRobot Rhoomba vacuum last year at Costco, after reading several reviews in this forum. Now we just turn that little bugger loose when exiting the coach, at it does the rest. It's amazing how well it cleans. For you carpet haters, it works great on hard floors as well.

As far as shampooing the carpet is concerned, I agree it's no fun, but I only have to do it 2 - 3 times a year, and I can get it done in less than 30 minutes.
