It's not only driver error, but mechanical malfunctions and loss of traction can also play into it. And even the perfect driver can have a bad day and make a mistake.

You've said it yourself, you've seen every type of vehicle go in the water -- it can happen to anyone eventually. The risks are the same regardless of the vehicle, but the consequences can be so much more severe with a motorhome.

In the end, regardless of the fault or reason, if you end up accidentally going into the water you have nobody to blame but yourself. Can you live with that? Only you can decide.

Lake Powell. I recognize that boat ramp. Talking about a monster ramp. I like the RV on the water concept. Friends in AZ own a 10% share in this baby, and get 3 weeks per year. We love Lake Powell. A share came available last year. The price was right but it just isn't logistically feasible for us at this time. If I lived closer, I would buy in.

I sunk a 51 chevy pickup to where divers had to down and hook a chain to it.... my buddy was backing it in for me and it busted a brake line... down she went...

another time I sunk a 70 lowered 2 wheel drive blazer.... I was by my self
backed the boat in un loaded and was headed to the dock to tie up...
it was a 4 speed popped out of gear by the time I swam to it it was sunk to the top of the windshield....

still boating and not skeert...and gonna continue to boat and rv..

got my first rv and boat when I was 17.....

and I still run with sizzors when my knees can take it

Try and ask for a end site for the view....... we were on site 42, and it was wonderful! The view for our site was great, sun rise out front over the water! The last two picture's are from the same spot, sun sets behind, so it lights up the lake and rocks! Perfect for wine sipping!

Palehorse, that view up that boat ramp brings back memories. I had to hike up and get the truck and trailer parked near the RV park. We had a 22' I/O and 2 wave runners to load up. The RV park is gorgeous.
