The old adage of the happiest days of a boat owner are the day you buy it and the day you sell it didn't hold true for me. I really liked that boat. Small enough to fit in the garage, would run in 10 inches of water and a 240 HP Merc engine that would really rip. Learned how to service the jet drive and all that fun stuff. But it sat in the garage for almost a year and I figured if I didn't get rid of it it would just rot away. Don't need an RV to boat in Florida. You can't drive 5 miles without hitting a boat ramp. We just never had the time.

Actually that's what my tongue weight limit (maximum vertical hitch load) is, but mine's only a 5K hitch. Since yours is a 10K hitch your maximum allowable vertical hitch load is probably higher.

I think the maximum allowable vertical hitch load should be designated on a sticker near the hitch (mine is).
