LCI Leveler Error

Winnebago Vista 2015. LCI Leveler giving me an error:
Retract Timeout. Says take to service. Beeps a few times each time I turn the key on.

The levelers are up. When I last used the levelers (1 day ago) they have gone down and up quite hard in jerk motions, nothing smooth about them.

This is my first class A on my first trip.

Thoughts?

Did it work fine before when you tested it?

Are to trying to auto level or have you tried to manually level?

Can you just turn it off, or does the error prevent that?

At anyrate I would be on the phone with them in the AM.

Levelers

No chance to turn it off. It wont let me.

Next step is to open the control panel, which is remove the controls from the dash, then disconnect to see if it will reset. If so, I will try to use them on Auto again.

Not sure how to use manually and the documentation is not clear on that. It just states to push the buttons. No insight on use.

My desire is to stabilize the coach as much as level. I want to use the tires and suspension as well as the levelers. It seems that when I use AUTO the levelers take over and the tires / suspension are not much in play.

Ideas?

Press the retract and enter buttons at the same time to reset. If the error reappears, you may need to troubleshoot. Either not enough fluid, leaky hose or bad pressure switch (I had the same issue and it was a leaky hose).

Good luck!

Follow Up

I tried to work manually without success. But after another reset, I used auto level and it is working fine.

2 more questions:
1. How to level manually, the manuals do not give much detail. The autolevel sometimes really lifts the coach, nearly off the tires. I have not had levelers before, just scissor jacks for stabilization. I am really more interested in stabilization than I am a perfect level. Level is nice, but stability so the coach does not rock in the wind or when we walk around in it is the real purpose to me.

2. Several times while driving the level control panel turns itself on. I am not sure if it is elevation, temperature or just a good bump that causes this. In each case I just turn it off again. Any thoughts on why it would do this?

Thanks again for your support... you all are great!

To manually level (on mine anyway)
Turn the unit on.
Press the up button, display should prompt you to press enter to begin.

Since tomorrow is Monday, I would be calling LCI. If your board is turning on by itself, there may be an issue with it.
Once you get it level, reset the zero point, and one other think I have found it that cribbing will help with the auto level as the jacks don't have to extend as far to get there.

Since you were already given instruction for manual leveling, I'll address (2) above. This is likely due to a loose line (same reason you got the time out warning above). You can tighten the lines manually, they don't need to be too tight. There is a pressure switch to tell the system that the levelers are up. With a loose line, the pressure will lower slightly and the switch will disengage. If the parking brake is not engaged, the system will turn on and try to bring the levelers up. This is likely what you are experiencing.

I am not an expert at the LCI levelers, but I've been learning all of this from experience...

Ok. Back to the drawing board. Still cannot get manual to work. (I admit o have not called LCI yet as I am 5 weeks into a 6 week trip. Was hoping to get home first).

Yesterday the system went nuts again picking all wheels off the ground. How do you recalibrate? I have levels ( 2 manual and 1 digital) and they show front to back in my site is level. Side to side is -4. No way you need to pick the whole rig up????.

I am resetting again but wonder how to set 0 to recalibrate?
