Not so sure

I had pulled into a Walmart 8n San Antonio in the aftetnoon. About 1 hour later another rv er knocked on my door and warned ne that there is a tow truck company that scans the parking lot and has towed her rv and cut the tie bar to tow her car too. While inside shopping. She proceeded to tell me not to leave the rv. Since of your in it it's considered kidnapping . I did see the tow truck thru out the day asking people to move their vehicles. I am not sure if therequired was a certain spot designated for trucks only. But no one had confronted me.

If you see a tow away sign tow trucks can and will tow without asking so as mentioned before ask for permission and copy name and title and if not a manager then ask for one.

I refuse to darken the door of businesses such as Outback or Sonic, who feel my firearm is not welcome.
If you want to get shot, just spend time in a"Gun free zone".
That is the soft target for would be nuts that think they can make a name by shooting a bunch of innocents.

But not during business hours unless there is a time limit posted as well. If they did and you were shopping at the store(s) they would be liable. Park outside of businesses hours and if you don't have permission posted on your vehicle you're likely going to get towed. I'd also make sure I had time stamped pictures of the note.

Park or No Park at Walmarts

I maintain a list of all Walmarts in the US, with their addresses, phone numbers and RV overnight parking status. It is free (no fees, no ads, and run by volunteer efforts). You are welcome to access it at http://halberstadt.macmate.me/Walmart
and we welcome any additions or corrections you may have as you visit Walmarts. We also support the industry-sanctioned "Overnight Parking Code of Conduct" which can be found at https://www.fmca.com/motorhome/motor...etiquette.html

Thanks, Scott. It doesn't work for me, either, when I click on it in my original post. I can't understand that, since the URL is visually correct. If you type it as shown (don't really need the "http://" part), it will work. Here it is, in plain text, if you wish to copy/paste it in to your browser:
halberstadt.macmate.me/Walmart

And again as a (supposedly) clickable link:
http://halberstadt.macmate.me/Walmart

You've got to add 'www.' right before halberstadt

The correct URL does not have "www". However, if you put that in, the site will strip it off and send you to the correct address anyway. So it will work with a preceding www, but it's not necessary.

Bill,
Roger that. I just copied and pasted yours in your response to me without the "WWW" and, it worked flawlessly. Boy, I gotta tell ya, if you took the time to do all that, in all those types of forms and put ALL THAT INFO in, that is some serious computer work. Wow, thanks a heap. We're not continuous Walmart campers but, we have used them from time to time, when conditions warranted it.

Ya know, when you cruise this country, you'll see a Walmart in most fair to larger sized cities across the nation and, even more than one in many of those cities. But, I guess I just didn't realize that there was THAT MANY all around the country. Wow, no wonder old Sam Walmart made a few bucks.
