LED interior lights for 2012 Thor Daybreak 34KD

Hello folks -

Newbie fulltimer here looking for some expert advice.

We would like to change out the stock bulbs in the interior of our 2012 Thor Daybreak 34KD. They all have the stock bulbs. We are hoping to get the LED version installed to lighten our energy load and the current stock lights put off some heat. They appear to be the standard RV bulb b

I've asked Thor tech support to make a suggestion what LED bulb specifications I should look for and they won't. They just said its bulb model 921 that we have.... Yeah that was helpful.

Could any of you by chance have some LED bulb recommendations?

Thank you!

I was at my RV dealer a couple of days ago and noticed on the shelves packages of LED bulbs @ I believe were $19 for a single bulb, when I did the math to replace all the ones in my 2012 Daybreak 30fs it came to $418 . I may get a couple sometime in the future just to see what the are like but not sure if it is worth it to replace them all as I do not do much boondocking .I'm sorry I don't know the part number.

Unfortunatly I have 14 of those sitting in a box that are garbage, light output sucks plain and simple.

Do your homework on LEDs, I have yet to see or find an acceptable LED direct bulb replacement that's worth a crap. A tried it and the light output was way dinished over incandescent bulbs. And the white light got old quick. Check out my $40 fix on page 40 in the general discussion / sticky Mods to RV's.

there are lots of Wedge base (921 clone) LEDs on Ebay. I have found you need to look for 200 or even 250 lumins to replace a 10W halogen bulbs.

As they are all made in China and sold through distributors it's a crap shoot as to who's you're getting. My experiences tell me the quality is about the same apples to apples. I've used Superbrightleds.com and Oznium.com before with good results. However lately i'm getting way better deals off of ebay as it's the exact same stuff and i can get 5 or more there versus the price of 1 from online retailers.

My neighbor changed out the entire 3" fixture with new LED fixtures for $11.00. He changed all his lights out to LED.

I just received 5 G4 (2 pin) leds from these guys and I'm happy. The big thing you want to look for is lumen rating in the 200 - 250 range. Any lower and you won't be happy.Home Garden lamps, E27 LED Bulbs items in e store4u0406 store on eBay!

Put 19 these in my unit. They are cool white (6000k, blue tint, noon day sun).

I have a 2007 Hurricane 30Q that I decided to try some LED lights on. Started with a motion detector porch light I got a good deal on at the Tampa RV show. Great light, but if we ave the TV running on the antenna, we can tell when the light is activated because it knocks out all reception. The light is on the side of the RV, antenna on the roof about 5 or 6 feet away. Not a big deal, just strange. Not sure what the impact might be with LED's inside the coach.
