Led lights
Has anyone changed the 12 volt lights inside there coach to Led lights? If you have how do you like them? Was it worth the cost? Thanks for the info.

My main concern was conservation to accommodate reliance on solar and not on the generator. The light fixtures in our trailer are all marine which use a G4 bulb an easy swap, I provided them when the trailer was being built. One lesson learned, my wife hated the too cold (bluish) LED arrays but is now happy with the warm color balance arrays.

We changed out every light inside the motor home to LED's and have no regrets. They do not get hot and do not draw as much elect. as regular bulbs. Expense was not all that bad as we got all of ours through E-Bay. Sure, they came from China but when comparing them to what is here in a local RV store we could not see any difference, other than the packaging and cost. The ones the RV store carries also were made in China. In our opinion the warm white option seems to have more even lighting. And we bought only from top rated sellers. Delivery usually takes 10-12 days.

Changed every light bulb to LED. Ordered most direct from China. Total cost around 400. Wouldn't have it any other way. Less load through converters and battery banks, less heat than halogens, safer, longer life.

Just finished changing all interior lights to LED. Went with the cool white. Much brighter, looks good. About $150.00. Also changed outside brake & tail lights and directional to LED. Nice and bright.

I've done all mine, incandescents, halogens, even the fluorscents. We are very happy with them, since I as able to choose the color temperature and brightness for each one plus they are very low in power consumption and heat output. I especially love the leds I put in place of the halogens - same or better brightness with much less heat.
I get mine from rvledbulbs.com. They handle only high quality brands and give great customer service. They also offer a discount for IRV2 forum members - just enter "FORUMS" as the promotion code at check-out.

No need to change fixtures unless you have an odd ball fixture that they don't make an LED for.
