How many users have left that site because of the moderators?I for one got fed up with the closing or deletion of some topics. Also there is a new site called freedom of the open road.
The more sites the better.

I've cruised through RV.Net, but never stayed long. Seems like the more typical chat room/forum which has much less civility than irv2. I'll just hang here.

RV.net is excellent. There is much more traffic than irv2. The styles of the two forums are different.

Jim,
I agree, both forums are excellent. RV.net has much more traffic but like any forum you have to sort through some BS at times. Reaqd them all, learn what you can, or contribute respectfully.
We certainly are not all going to agree at times.

I agree, nothing wrong with RV.net, good information there as well. But I will also agree that it is a bit less civil than this site, which is why I tend to hang here as opposed to there.

Well said, Spoonman. We may never ALL agree at any time or on any subject.

I'm glad there's more than 1 place to go. I'm happy with both sites.

I can't say that I have quit visiting the RVNET site but I agree with you regarding the moderators. I find that the moderators are biased against newcomers. The folks that have the longevity on the forum get away with a lot more than someone new.
It aggravates me also. I'm glad that iRV2 is here.

I used to post to RV.net but it seemed that for every comment I made there were ten others who made a negative comment to whatever I might have said, even when I was asking a question for help. Although I am still a member there I have not been in that forum in ages.

MtManLee,
I agree, seems that when I, a relative newcomer asked a question it was filled with negativity. If I responded to the post or the person that posted the negative information I would usually get a private message from the moderator telling me to not be combative. I never used any profanity or harsh language.
Like I said before, seems that the person that is new or doesn't post that often gets blasted for showing up.

I read and post on both sites. I have to agree RV.NET has some aggressive posters and I've been flamed a time or two for posting to a question. My biggest beef is folks who respond to a question and the info is incorrect because it's more opinion than user experience. Both sites are excellent for the exchange of information as long as you have your BS protectors on.

I enjoy BOTH sites and visit them often and equally. One of the things that keeps me coming back to both sites is the excellent job the moderators do. Even when I had a reply that wasn't posted I contacted a moderator and got an explanation I had to agree with. What can I say, I think they deserve a pay raise.

I have over 3K posts on RV.NET and have participated in some pretty "spirited" debates there. There are some would could easily be called trolls. They either start inflammatory threads or, very often, turn what is another wise innocent thread into a name calling match and get it closed or deleted. I browsed back over some of my past threads and was the amazed at the number that has been closed. IMHO, it is a lot more "wild and wooly" there than here.
Both sites have a core of good people who are willing to help and I periodically watch both to see if I can learn something new. I will admit that I post there a lot less than I used to . I get enough grief other places: I don't need to go to an RV forum to get more.
Charlie
P.S. I'll second the pay raise for the mods here. I know better than to say anything bad about them.
