Thanks for the feedback and resolution. That adapter went bad on our MH, but only the towed brake lights would not work.

Thank you all for the suggestions. What a great group of fellow RV ers with an abundance of knowledge

Happy trails.......... Until the next crisis..... Lol

Ron,
I'm kind-a assuming what you're referring to is called a "Tail light converter", correct? You have written, "trailer light adapted". Now, based on what you're saying, could I also assume you have AMBER turn signals on your coach? That would explain the need for a tail light converter. Many coach builders automatically install those, if the tail light assemblies also entail AMBER turn lights, so that the pins in the trailer plug for right and left turn, will also be combo-right turn/brake and, combo left turn/brake.

Yes Scott it is a converter and the replacement that I purchased is called an adapter .....(fat clumsy fingers got me again) and the coach does have amber turn signals. At any rate it ended up to be a $22.00 fix and all is well again
Thanks
Ron

Ron,
Roger that Sir, on your fix. It's nice that you got back to us here so that we all know how you fixed your particular issue. So many people ask abou things on here and never report back as to their remedies.

Good you found it. I looked at this thread late and that 5 to 4 wire adapter was my first thought. I had one fail and the symptoms were similar to yours. It took me about 30 min to track that fault down. Good info to all - these converters do fail.
