Just wondering if the lemon laws cover class a's. I just had my 5th egr valve replaced in 22k miles over the last 2 years. Cummins still does not know if the problem is fixed.

Just want to know my rights, if I have any. I am also the 2nd owner.

Each state is different, so you would need to contact the proper department in your state of residence.

Some states only cover the chassis, and just recently one state ruled that the lemon law was not applicable because the owner did not purchase the MH in state.

Your Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve (EGR) falls under federally mandated smog devices and has it's own length of warranty that the manufacture MUST honor. EGR valves don't normally go bad... they get clogged and are a symptom of a problem. They must FIX the problem. Clogged EGR's are usually caused by excessive oil passing into the cylinder from either the piston rings or valve guides.

No matter what the cause, it has been to 4 different Cummins service centers. They all fix it, but it keeps happening. Aside from the fuel, it is also a tremendous inconvenience. Each service center has been fantastic in customer service including my most recent in Albuquerque.

I don't know of any state that has a lemon law for used vehicles.
