I don't believe that the "Lemon Law" covers RVs. You can check with the Attorney General's office.

Yes it does. The dealer should be able to provide you with the information on the Lemon Law. My dealer did.

Although they don't like to have it invoked on them, the dealer does not loose anything. It goes back to the manufacturer. The dealer gets to sell you another lemon, hee hee.

You can read up on it, but you really have to be on top of things and the dealer has, by law, time to fix what is wrong. The information on Lemon Law will give you all the specifics. I suggest you read it before engaging a lawyer.

Good luck.

Bullheaded,

Here is some information on Texas Lemon Law

or:

More Lemon Law

For others, each state should have their own laws.

Would suppose it's similar to the two vehicles I lemon lawed over the years...
the gist of it is:
You have to get the mfg involved, not just the dealer and
give THEM the opportunity to repair it...

there is usually a time limit like within the first 12 months and a mileage limit like 12,000 miles or so...

it has to be 1 major safety related item that is not repaired
or 3 times to repair the same major item...
or many repeated unsuccessful attempts at repairs...

good luck, document EVERY thing !
every conversation, every work order, every date / time/ who/ when/ what... etc...

You can google "Texas lemon law attorneys" and get several pages of listings. Pick your area and interview them. You can also research court records to see how experienced they are, but most of the time if you ask a lawyer about experience they will tell you the truth.

Can the op tell other owners what problems you are having, I have a friend that is looking at a used one, and it could be helpful.
