Time to begin the search for financing for our 2019 DSDP. Can anyone tell me of any direct lenders for new Class A RV's? I'm only finding brokers on the internet. Thank you.

When I purchased my 2016 Dutch Star, the dealer (Holland Motor Homes) got the best deal from Ally Bank.

Along with Ally Bank that JLowdy mentioned, I've posted these banks/lenders previously if you want to also check them out:

Seacoast Financing ...RV loans (Seacoast National Bank)

M&T Bank ...Marine & Recreational Vehicle Loans

RVfinancing.com

Also, if you're buying from a dealership, be sure to check their lenders as sometimes you can get a pretty good rate from the bank they use for financing when a customer wants assistance with that. Just like car dealerships sometime offer very good rates to lure prospective customers into the showroom, I'd think that RV dealerships may have special rates that they too may be able to offer to assist with making a sale.

edited: I just noticed that Ally is no longer offering RV financing--

We had our financing in place before we ordered our two DSDP's.
Present rig is through US Bank and the dealer arranged it through their broker.

Look at Aliant credit union. Great rates.

I used a local credit union here. It seems credit unions are more apt to work with an RV loan than regular banks. I had 2 local credit unions willing to give me a loan but the one bowed out because i bought an older rv and most have a 10-12 year old limit.

Nothing wrong with using a broker buy would ask what company they are giving quotes for, cause that's who you will be dealing with long term. Several large RV lenders don't have any direct lending and work through their RV dealer financing group and brokers.

If you must deal direct, Bank of the West has a retail RV finance ar,

My credit union I've been with since the '70's isn't competitive on rates for RV's at all. They act like they don't want to loan on RV's. I really thought with my long term membership, high credit rating (above 825) and balance in my accounts they'd do better.

With excellent credit and several relationships with credit unions in my area. I found dead ends , short 7 year or less terms, higher interest etc. a general lack of interest in loaning at least I did 5 years ago .
I gave the dealer a shot at it and they set up one of the same bank / credit union that had told me they had no interest in RV loans with a better rate than Essex or any other national advertiser was publishing and 12 year loan. Go figure.
The point is don’t discount a dealers ability to get a lower rate and longer term , if you want it. Their business is dependent on making those loans possible and many banks will work only with a dealer where they won’t give the “ public” the time of day.
Just be sure to confirm the rate and terms are better than you can get on your own

Huntington bank

Huntington bank beat my alliant credit union . 4.74 fixed vs 4.99 % Dealer found the Huntington bank and I applied direct with credit union.
