We looked at a shared warehouse space, but access was limited to certain times and required their personnel to help you retrieve your coach. We ended up buying a 24X50 storage condo with climate control, 50 amp power and a 16X14 garage door. Also has a dumping station on the property. We close next week. I'll post pictures.

My advice would be for anyone to build their own on your property if you can find room and allowed. In the long run cheaper, adds value to your property and certainly adds convenience, security and ability to design to fit your wants and needs.
I did. And will never regret it.

I agree on the separate spaces. Need 15 ft, center of wall to center, or 14 ft usable on sides
That gives reasonable space on sides for access, etc.

warehouse costs and hvac question

thor,
we looked at a class c that was for sale and stored in a warehouse. guy lived near downtown state capital area. warehouse was probably 25 miles away in suburbs. I think his rental rate was 250/month.

all,
question about hvac.
we are considering an enclosed shed for rv. what kind of hvac units do you have? or recommend?

If you live in the south or southwest you probably need some level of ac and humidity control. And in much of northern US some heat.
Out here in Western Washington don't need anything even for winter for an enclosed building. In my uninsulated detached RV garage I have never done anything. It never has gotten below about 35 degrees either inside the RV or storage bays.

lights?

this is an awesome thread! I just found it.

looking at pictures I see various lighting fixtures...

are there any lights (fixtures ) that we should avoid..
meaning do any types hurt the paint or fiberglass or graphics?

or... do skylights... allowing sunlight into building... allow damage?

I think to some extent depends on where you live and window orientation to South or west. Either way you want plenty of interior lights.

LED lighting shouldn't hurt paint should it?

2nd question, LED is less energy consuming than fluorescent, and brighter.......is that correct?

Led lights. I wouldn’t use skylights, potential for leaks and have heat loss.

Electra 225. Yes LED are more efficient and usually brighter than fluorescent.

My HVAC guy says he can do a Split system that will meet my needs so that's what I'm gonna go with. I don't really need heat, as last year we got down to around 10 degrees a few nights in a row and my data logger never showed below 39 inside. I just want something to help while out there working or cleaning on it during the summer.
