Leveler is stuck - Help!

I have a 2005 Gulfstream Sun Voyager SE 8370 and I have an issue where the right rear leveler is stuck halfway down (about 6-8 inches off the ground) and nothing happens when I try to raise it with the dash control. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks.

Welcome to iRV2.

Do you know your leveler brand ? HWH ? Power Gear ? Lippert?
Do you have the system's owners/users manual , that details manual retraction of the levelers?

It's a Power Gear I believe. I will check for sure and look for the manual. I assume the hydraulics will be located in the same area as the slide hydraulics. Thanks.

on mine the piston came loose from the rod and would raise untill the last couple inch's. I was told that they forgot the locktight so I took it off - cleaned it up and lock tight the threads. A couple people said that the piston on theirs came all the way off and cause internal damage. Lots of things to check so hopefully you will find an easy fix.

I found the manual online by matching the picture of the control panel. It's a Power Gear Manual System Touchpad #140-1179. At this time I simply want to be able to retract the partially deployed jack so it can be driven. It looks as though I may be able to do that manually if I can't get the system to work. Wish me luck. I am far from a mechanical genius.

My levelers are HWH, but there are manuals and posts in the " Files " drop box on the Power Gear system.

"Files" drop box is in the dark blue bar , across the page , under the " Google Search " box and your welcome message.

My 05 pace arrow has power Gear and they are Mechanically Driven not Hydraulic, There is a Nut on the Bottom of the Motor I have had a few issues andf I just use a Cordless Drill and socket and retract it manually then they seemed to work

I have a 05 Damon with Power Gear, jacks. I had the same problem, left rear would not retract all the way. When we got home from our trip I put a floor jack under the pad and a block of wood the same thickness under the right side. I also found that there was grease fittings on the rams. After greasing, I raised the ram up with the jack, then cycled the jacks a bunch of times together and singly. It worked, now they all retract. I dont know if this will help you, it worked for me so far, touch wood. You will also need somebody to watch whats what going on so you can cycle the system faster, that seems to work with hydraulics. After sitting for a week they still work.

If this is a hydraulic jack, often a 2x4 (or whatever is handy) can be used as a lever to give it enough of a push to get it to return.
