Leveler Retrofit

I have a 2007 Winnebago Itasca 26B. It was never equipped with a factory leveling system. My dealer says they would be happy to fix me up, but they want six grand to do it! Does anyone know of a less expensive route to get a leveling system installed?

I am interested in this question too. My new 2007 Fleetwood is equipped with Atwood Level Legs that don't work. Fleetwood tech said they are crap and I should replace the whole system.

Considering these systems kits sell for roughly $3,000 online, then one still has to add hook up wiring, and perhaps hydraulic hoses, and miscellaneous clamps, straps, etc. then of course there is the installation cost, ... a $6,000 price quote from a dealer sounds to be in the right ballpark.

Hi John! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Sorry I can't offer any advice on the levelers! Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

As Isaac says, the $6000 is not outrageous, but you could probably get a better deal at an independent shop and buy the jack system yourself online, or maybe consult with the Quadra (Bigfoot levelers) factory.

You didn't say what system the dealer quoted, but there is also a price difference between electric and hydraulic and auto-level vs manual, so some choices there.

The Official Bigfoot© Site - Bigfoot Hydraulic Leveling Systems

Equalizer also makes jack systems for Class A's.

You might give HWH a call, they install levelers on coaches of all sizes right at their factory.
Good Luck,
