We recently purchased a 2014 Tiffin Allegro RED 33AA. Prior to this, we have always owned gas rigs and are now trying to get up to speed on all things diesel before setting out on a trip.
We have a question regarding operating the slides. We hook up to shore power, set the brake, put transmission in neutral, turn off the engine and lower the jacks. The ignition key will turn to the left which we guess is the accessory (ACC) position. We can then put out both the front slides or if the slides are out, retract the front slides. However, when the key is turned to the left ACC? the rear slides will not go out or if out retract. To operate the rear slides the key must be turned to the right. All dash lights come on, including the glow indicator. One more click to the right would start the engine which we do not do. However, when putting out the rear slides with the key turned to the right, one or both of the rear levels retract maybe three or four inches. After the rear slides are out, we can manually lower the rear levels so they are again touching the ground.
What are we doing wrong? Or is there some problem with the rear slides in that they will only operate when the ignition key is turned to the right rather than to the left ACC?. The front slides will operate if the ignition key is turned either to the left or right.
Any help will be appreciated.
