Leveling jack problem

I have a 1997 Southwind 35LS with power gear leveling jacks, the manual type. I can not get them to go down at all. The green light lights up and I can hear a clicking sound when I push the buttons but nothing happens. I have cleaned all the grounds and checked the wire connections and checked the oil level in the tank, it is on the dipstick. Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful.

Do you have slides that are hydraulic? If so do they work? Are any other lights on the control panel lit? Power gear is good about giving advice..... You can also download manuals on line....

It sounds like either a fuse to the motor solenoid is blown, the solenoid or motor is defective or has a bad connection.

Here's the service manual for the PG systems. You'll have to read through it to determine which parts apply to your vintage system.

I have the same system as you (on a '97 Bounder) so will follow this thread to offer further help.

I had trouble with my jacks. I found out that the company that made my jacks was now owned by Power Gear. Here is a link to their web page: http://www.powergearus.com/. I e-mailed Power Gear and they were quite helpful. Here is a link to their contact page: http://www.powergearus.com/contact

My problem was a broken wire in the control push pad. Power Gear informed me that they were re-engineering the control pad and that new control pads would be available in about a month.

Three weeks later Winnebago Parts shipped me a new control panel that works great.

Safe travels.
