leveling jacks
Is anyone else having issues with their leveling jacks? I suspect so. My situation goes like this--
morning, retract jacks all ok and we are ready to go
miles down the road, three lights start to blink, no audio alarms but
jacks down light
excess angle light
low voltage light
stop for evening, jacks do not work
2-3 hours latter, jack lights are out, jacks work well
then we start over
I'm thinking its the pressure switch.
Your comments will be appreciated.

On HWH jacks you turn on the power and hit the "Store" button. You MUST wait for the system to turn itself off, otherwise you will get jack down alarms.

Make a phone call to the manufacturer of the jack company. They might be able to direct you in the right direction on the proper diagnosis and repair.

Still need the brand of the jacks. If they are HWH call Chuck at RV Leveling in Elkhart, IN. 1-800-826-6267. I would assume somewhere you have the literature on the jacks that will give you the system number you have installed. Anyway give Chuck a call, he is very knowledgable on the HWH system as they are a service center for them. Obviously if they are a different brand then I mentioned you will have to contact that mfg. Hope this helps.

Hi pjensen,
The brand of jacks is important for the correct help to come your way. If they are HWH jacks, the post by Mr_D is a possibility. If you are letting the HWH system turn itself off, one or more of the valves is not closing and will need to be replaced. With HWH, what happens is the fluid will heat up and expand as the coach travels. If the valve(s) do not close a jack may move down just enough to set off the alarm. When the valves close properly, the heated fluid expands into the reservoir.

thanks all
issue seems to be settled,
a. battery had a bad cell, replaced it
b. pressure switch failed and is replaced
c. one of the valves was drawing way tooo much current so we replaced it also
I'm hopefully things are all set. Our next trip starts on Sunday traveling to St. Paul, MN from Maroa, IL
I'll let you all know.
thanks,
Paul

Aside from your problem with the jacks, how do you like the Daybreak?? We have been looking at and considering it. What kind of mileage are you getting?
