Levelling jacks won't go down

Help please! We have a 2008 Destination Winnebago 39' and the levelling jacks won't go down - any idea what might be the cause of that? We following the levelling instructions in the manual but nothing happens.

Do the instructions include setting the parking brake? If so try releasing it and resetting. Does the position of the ignition key matter? Good luck.

Hi Rocky Larson: yes, it does say to set the parking brake so we will try your suggestion. It also says to put the MH in "Park" mode - where is that? We only have Neutral, Drive & Reverse (we are new at this, can't you tell??) It says in the manual you can have the ignition key in the accessory position or have the MH running.

Put it in Neutral and set the parking brake.

I always hook up to shore power after turning engine off then turn ignition to the accessory side. The leveler panel should light up. If it is an automatic leveling system, just push "auto level". The air bags will deflate and 10 or 15 seconds later the leveler will start to put down the jacks. When it is finished, turn key to off.

Thank you very much - we will give it a try.

kwikee is your steps

I believe you are mistaken. I cannot imagine your leveling jacks being electric they might be but more likely are hydraulic. if you look at the panel where the hydraulic pump is there should be a controller beside it with lights and fuses check the fuses and see if they are good.

This may have nothing to do with your situation, but my 2002 HR has weak house batteries. Jacks won't work unless the engine is running.
