Lifeline Batteries

Having to replace house batteries. Plan on Lifeline GPL-4CT 6 volts x 4. The best price I have found is $319.00 each from Impact Battery, Anyone have any experience with this company or a suggestion for another company. I will be installing them myself. Thanks all

That's over 1200 dollars! My 6 from Walmart $600. They better have 3x better Amphour and service life.

In March of 2016 I purchased six GPL-6CT batteries for about $260 each delivered to my door. I slide them out every three months to check them and they are just as clean as when I installed them. I bought direct from a distributor in CA.

I looked back for our email exchanges, but they have been deleted. I might be able to find the records, but I think they are at our AZ home and we are in WI til Nov.

Edit: I think it was direct from Lifeline in San Dimas, CA. I got the contact name from a post on the Tiffin Forum in mid 2015 and contacted him. I was quoted $257 each shipped to my door in AZ. I didn't order them till Feb of 2016. At the time they were selling for $315 to $385 from dealers. He was selling to others as well, but may have stopped it by now to protect the dealers.

Bought my Lifelines here:http://www.bestconverter.com/Lifelin...ries_c_58.html
I see their price for your size is $287.50 Nice savings from the $319.00 you got. I can ad that they were excellent to deal with. Good luck...

FWIW, the 6CT has the same foot print, but taller. If you have the room, go for the higher amperage.

Tom from Trans-Specialist is who I worked with on obtaining our Lifelines.

I was in the research phase, and Tom was recommended by many members of the Yahoo CC User Group. I placed more value on his assistance in sorting out different options for our application, then in the actual purchase of the Lifelines.

If you are sure you know the Lifeline's you want, then a call to Tom will let you know if he can help you from a price point. And as mentioned, if you want to review or get input on what you're going to buy - Tom is good people.

Best of luck to you,
Smitty

I went through this decide process earlier this year. I don't mind the wet battery maintenance. Bought six interstate GC2 wet batteries from Costco for $582, iirc.

Oops! Sorry, I thought the price was delivered. I re-read and see that does not include freight

I like the idea of AGM's but for the price, you could buy wet cells 2-3 times. There are advantages, like taking more amps during bulk charge and mounting sideways but I'm betting lithium prices will drop in the next few years and we'll replace aging wet cells with lithium.
