Question Light Lens stuck

I have the old Ceiling lights with halogen bulbs and the thick heavy glass lens. I had a bulb burn out and was trying to change the old bulb but could not unscrew the lens, I think I have tried everything to get it loose with no success. I know this is crazy but I am at a loss. I have changed many bulbs without a problem. Has anyone experienced this problem, if so how did you get the lens off.

The ceiling lights fixtures are held in place by 2 springs. You need to get your fingers in under the metal of the housing, gently pull the entire housing down. While pulling down the fixture note the two springs on either side of the housing. Hold on to then and continue to pull the fixture out of the hole.

You will see a plastic electric connection that can be pulled apart so you can bring the fixture in your lap. You will then be able to twist the lens cover off.

Careful not to touch the halogen bulbs with your fingers when inserting the new bulb, the chemicals on your hands can affect the bulb life.

To put the fixture back in, connect wires then spread the springs so they can be inserted back into the round hole and then press up firmly. That should do it!

The ceiling material may be stuck to the face of the light. Try taking a dull butter knife and running it around the light between the ceiling material and the light. Then try and unscrew the face.
