Cool Light Problem

Hi;I'm new here and pleased to meet ya.I had an accident which pulled off my right tail light housing, not much it just fell on the ground but the wires stayed attached(squeeze clips) except for the directional wire. I put that in with a new clip. After putting it back together my right directional wouldn't light.I tapped off the trailer wire and it worked. After that I used a tester(punctures the wire) in the wires to see if they were live, after that the directionals don't work, the dash dir lights don't work(except for EM/flashers)and the backup lights don't work. It's going in for repairs but I thought I'd ask if anyone has any experience or knowledge on this. Thanks Don

Glad you're aboard. Does your left side turn signal work?. If not it could be a fuse for the turn signal circuit is blown. Once fixed enjoy your adventures and be safe.

Glad to have you here with us. You didn't say after testing the line with a tester whether or not you had voltage there.

Hi; after I poked thr wires to see if they were getting electricity, the directionals stopped working and no B/U lites and no flashing (except for emergency) on the dash. Now today I was going to move it and the park brake won't disengage and the P/B lite on the dash doesn't work. The problem with the brake happened before and went back for repair 4 times. The repair was done by an outside service, not the dealership. So now we're waiting to see what they're going to do.Thanks and i'll keep you informed.Maybe there's some knowledge here. Sounds like you have a problem with a connector with multiple pins. Try following the harness as much as possible and open each connector and inspect for loose or corroded terminals. If you have a wiring diagram it may help to identify a connector where All those circuits feed through.
