Like 'New' Front Curtains-Just Wash'em!

WOW!

I took advice from a thread (can't find it now) here and took down my front curtains in the coach, washed them, gentle, cold, pre-soak delicate cycle (removed the cleats of course) dried them, low heat, delicate cycle, Re-installed the cleats and re-hung them.

LIKE NEW!

It took out all those stains that looked like water marks and even the what I thought were sun stains and damage to the curtains are completely gone now!

So happy with the results!

I know, small things make me happy these days.....

Wow, what a novel idea! (Sorry, Kent. I had to beat Cliff to the punchline.)

Sarah and Cliff, you both get a virtual paddling for being so ornery...

I really didn't think they would come out so well. I thought those stains were permanent. I just wanted to share my success.

And now, I'm the laughing stock.

I feel everyone laughing at me.

Mocking me.

Woe is me.

Boo hoo.

NOT! Hahahhaha!!

I had posted a thread a couple of month ago about washing my front curtians. I decided to try to wash them after the dry cleaner told me it was going to be over $100.00 to clean them with no guarntee. I laid mine on a couple of towels and sponged a mix of 50/50 cold water and white vinegar on them before I washed them They did come out like new.

These two threads should have been forced on me a month ago.
Just re-hung two sets of front curtains after writing a check to cleaners for $280!!!!

I'll have to try the pre-soaking with water / vinegar solution. We recently washed ours and they came out better but certainly not perfect (We also washed them in the Splendide so maybe we'd have more success in our home machine).
