Lippert Hydraulic levelers and slideout

2009 neptune 35SBD, cummins 340/allison 6
I have had terrible problems with the lippert system. I had the whole thing replaced in early december and just had it fail again last week luckily in december it was at the garage for other stuff and last week it was @ my home.
Has anyone else had issues?
Does anyone know of an aftermarket or replacement for the system?

I have the Lippert jack system on my Damon Challenger, and it failed during the first two months of ownership. I had it replaced under warranty and made certain that the new pump (that was the problem; it was leaking fluid and shorting out the pump motor) would be warranteed from the date of installation. I found that Lippert was great to work with, but they have certainly had their share of problems with the leveling system, again mostly it seems, with leakage and shorting as mine did.

I would think that most other systems could be installed, but probably quite expensive. What about a salvaged system from a wrecked class A? I would think that a competent shop could do the work successfully.

Best of luck, Bronk

Lippert hydraulic pump system

In reading these forums, this seems to have been an issue for quite some time. I have a 2009 Damon Daybreak and am dealing with this issue now. The first unit went out while we were on the road parked in a rest area on I-5. We were lucky to get the jacks retracted with help from a relative who lived nearby. It was replaced under warranty. We now have had it happen again, just barely a year after the first one. Lippert says that they only give a 90 day warranty on parts. It happened a few weeks ago while we were at Ocean Shores. We had to call a RV shop to come and retract the jacks for us.($157) Lippert is not taking any responciblity this time at all. I have the Daybreak at a repair facility now and they haven 't got any nice things to say about their dealings with Lippert. I have the shop attempting the "Happycarz" solution shown on another link in the irv2 site. It is amazing how useful these forums are.

We just had the system go bad again!! Again we were at Ocean Shores when it went bad. IT cost us $184 this time. The shop says that it is either the Board or the Actuator. Lippert is on my **** list for sure. I haven't gotten the bill for this repair yet. The repair before where they did the "happyCarz" was over a thousand - still better than $1800 just for parts.
