Little Change of Plans:)

Well some of you might remember my post a couple months ago about a DP that the wife and I were looking at well that one didn't workout for us. So at that time the wife and I decided we were going to hold off for right now unless that perfect one came available.

I pulled the trigger on a 1984 Suncrest 26' made by R&R Custom Coachworks. As you can tell we are Seahawk fans and will be used as our tailgating rig.

Mileage is 56k. Believe we are the third owner and is in very good condition. Trying to find out information on this particular unit isn't easy. Has a very strong 454, new tires, new batteries, and new exhaust. Generator works just like it should too! Interior is in mint condition only thing that doesn't work is the furnace and water heater.

I picked it up for $2000.

But I found one for me not her LOL. She keeps reminding you know this isn't going to be the family MotorHome

Who Cool, looks like a "family" coach to me, that is the 12th man family. Seriously that is great looking coach for it's years.

Well it's maiden voyage was the past two days. Buddies and I went to our tailgating spot Wednesday evening to stake out our spot for Thursday. Everything thing seem to work like expected. Everyone was shocked on the condition of this beauty so it was fun.

The generator did stop running after 10hrs of use so I hope it's just a fuel issue. My gas gauge doesn't work so i couldnt tell on my fuel level when it died on me. But the motorhome was able to start and make it back to where it's stored at. So I just hope the generator got down to the automatic shut off area so there was enough fuel for the motor until I were to get more fuel. The RV does have a main and aux tank but I'm pretty sure I have to switch the lever to have it use the other tank someone was saying maybe the generator uses aux tank automatically but I don't think that is the case. The generator wanted to run but once started it would stop after a second or so.

How many gallons of gas will the Kohler 4.5 generator burn per hour? I know this of course depends on what is being used but yesterday we just were using some lights, and the exterior plugs for satellite and tv, and very little A/C.

Is there a way you can insulate the generator area so it's noise doesn't interfere with the TV? We could here the TV but it was turned all the way up so we were thinking of ways that we could buffer the sound of the generator.

Thanks
