Little light in the generator dash switch

This probably not the right forum for this question, but it is on a class A.

On the dash, the on/off rocker switch for the generator, the little light in that switch that glows when the gen is genning, is it a bulb that can be replaced, or the whole switch have to be replaced.
Thanks in advance, Neil

Looking back at my switch, it seemed like you would have to replace the whole switch. I don't see a place to pry the top part off? If yours burned out I would be a little surprised. Mine is 20 years old, so it may vary depending on what year/ model coach you have....

May depend on the coach.. However.. The lamp is very likely 12 volt.. Radio shack (And other stores) carry 12 volt LED "Indicator" assemblies, There are a few different versions of these.. one is a plastic tube with colored wires on one end and a metal ring near the other, clear or colored lens beyond the ring. Drill a hole, shove it in, slip a "Speed nut" (Spring steel thing) over the wires and up the shaft, hook the wires to the proper leads on the switch and you are golden.

Others have different mounts.
Home is where I park it!

wa8yxm, we have a H/R Vacationer & theres 3 of those rocker switches just alike each other in a row on the dash, with the genset one being at the top.
Time to do some investigating to see how to remove it.

Oh, hows the engine coming along, insurance said anything else ?.
Thanks, Neil
