Locating Leveling Control Module

We have a 2005 HR Vacationer on a workhorse chassis. Last trip out the jacks would not work at all. Also theres no lights on the dash piece. Took it to an rv mechanic and after him spending 6-7 hours on it, he cant locate the leveling control module. He removed the dash, tried to follow the wires, called HR or Monaco and nothing. Its now in somewhere else and they just called to ask for 2 more hours pay because they cant find it. Hope someone can help us, Thanks, BC Jim

Mine is located in the cargo storage under the kitchen sink, you need to crawl in and look up, you should see a block off plate, sensor is screwed to under side of coach floor. Good luck

Same on our coach. In our case, first exterior storage compartment aft of the entry door, against rear bulkhead, three feet in, attached to compartment ceiling (that is, underside of coach floor). Formerly obscured by a plastic panel, since removed.

I had the same issue on my 2014 Southwind.
The Power Gear Level Controller is located on the ceiling in the electrical bay near the Magnum Inverter above the LP tank.
It is purposely positioned facing down to prevent any water from entering.
The box is black, approx 3"x4"x1" and the replacement cost ranges from $380 to just over $500.
Your best bet is to check on Amazon for the lowest price and it is a simple plug and play module.
In my case, it ended up not being the Level Controller causing the problem.
We traced the problem to a "25 amp in-line fuse" located up high in the dash behind the speedometer!
This 25 amp fuse also controlled the chassis blower
I later found that I could have removed a panel on the top of the dash for much easier access.
Fortunately, I was able to return the module to Amazon and save the $380.00.
A very large RV dealer worked on this for 5 hours and found nothing!
I paid him for 2 hours of labour and then later got that reimbursed by their General Manager.
I have posted this on the forum a month ago hoping it would help others with the same problem.
I wish you all the best and look forward to hearing the outcome.

Did the mechanic change the fuse on the underside of the leveling control panel yet?

Me-thinks it's past time for you to contact azpete here on irv2.com. He is a commercial member of irv2.com and works for HWH leveling systems. He gladly offers free advice and assistance to the membership.

Thanks everyone for all the tips. Will keep them on file. We picked the motorhome up yesterday from a well known rv place in Washington state. The jacks are working now. They found a loose wire near the hydraulic pump. Asked the mechanic to show us, which he did and where the leveling module was. He showed us the wire but never did find the module. When the weather reaches above freezing we'll look again ourselves from all your suggestions. Thanks again, Jim and Rhonda

I did locate it. It is the storage compartment behind an enclosed plastic white cover for the TV cable and 110 electric receptacle. Once the cover was removed I found it screwed to the bottom of the floor. new one is coming and with and luck will fix my problem. Fingers crossed! Thanks for the help everyone. Travel safe.
