Long trip - seat cushion?

Will be taking a 5K trip driving straight through back from FL to CA and wondered if people use a cushion or something to assist against a sore butt and/or lower back. I noticed after a recent 8 hour drive I was kinda sore in both areas but that was a one shot deal so maybe you get used to it over three days? Anyway, advise or recommendations are greatly appreciated!

I use a memory foam pillow that I didn't like for my head. It works very well on the other end. I got it at Sleep Number store. Long drives for several days used to kill my back. Not now.

Our seats in our various motor homes have been comfortable, but after six hours my butt starts to hurt. I think it's pretty normal. That is the pain, not my butt....it's huge!

Our seats are firm, but comfortable. To avoid what you are experiencing, I have a sheepskin between my butt and the seat, plus, I use a small inflatable pillow at the lower back. I vary the pressure in the pillow to change the pressure during the day. They help me get through those 500 mile days and feeling good.

Go to a motorcycle shop and look for some Monkey Butt, its a powder. Put some down the back of your shorts and you're good to go.

Like Crasher, I and the DW use long haired sheepskins in our class A. Also have them in our towed ( 2006 Saturn Vue). Wouldn't be without them.
$75 apiece at Eskimo coats in Berlin, WI.
Black, white, or black tipped.
My only association with Eskimo Coats is that is the only place I know where I bought the sheepskins here in WI.

Thanks for the replies. Re the Monkey Butt, I've been riding for over 45 years and have received that as a gift in the past. Never tried/needed it but like the decorative bottle which is displayed on a bookshelf.
