Looking at 2002 Rexhall. Need advise please.

All

I'm looking at a 2002 Rexhall Aerbus 34' with Triton V-10, 1 slide out. The model year was 2001 but the coach was custom ordered and the build was delayed and titled in 02. There are 65k miles and it's a one owner unit with records. It was also stored under cover. Any opinions on this model and values?

Thanks

We had a 99 Rexhall 32 ft(3250BSL) with two big slides that we kept for 13 years. Excellent quality build with all welded steel cage construction. I don't think they still are in business--too bad.

We have a 2002 Rexhall Vision 26. It has a fiberglass roof and is pretty well made. Being a 2002 there were a number of fixes and maintenance we have had to do, but overall it has been a very good unit.

I forgot to add that a one slide MH about that age would probably sell for about 20k.

Is it the Newer Model that looks like it just landed on Planet Earth? the value dimishes when ther is only 1 or even 2 slides. Most people want Full wall slides of 3 or 4 slides. We bought a used Rexhall and found the unit to be OK. when we had electrical problems they were of NO Help at all. The units are welded together and ours was rattle free. If you live in California you would be near the factory. they are still in business even after filing bankruptcy. Because we couldn't get any assistance in trouble shooting our electrical problems we dumped it of A Damon Tuscany. safe travels.... ed

Here is the listing. The ones I have seen listed for similar years are asking more.

I would buy it for 20k. Similar years are listed for 28-35K. Maybe they are not bringing that however. This one should bring a premium for condition and records. You think I can get one similar for 20K? Does not have to be this model. I live in Houston and check out PPL often. I was there the other day. I have seen 2000 (plus or minus 2 years) year model units in what I would consider fair condition with mostly all faded out exteriors and old tires bring mid 20's to 30K?? Here is the one I'm looking at.

We have a '95 Rexhall Aerbus 30'. Built very solid and a lot of nice little touches that improve usability. We've been very happy with it.

Offer $20,000 and see what they say. It only has one slide and is 12 years old now.

Thanks Paul. I have an appt on Friday to see the coach. He put 6 new tires on last year so that is good. He also has done all scheduled maintenance and changed oil every 3000 miles. If the v-10 is maintained properly how many miles is average before a rebuild? Same question for tranny.

The engine and tranny should be good for a VERY long time, much longer than you would probably keep the coach.

Floorplan, floorplan, floorplan!

(Looks like a pretty inefficient one to me. BIG TV cabinet, small slide (couch only), need to walk past the toilet to go to bed. Me? I'd pass....)

Appears to be gone from RVTrader now? Maybe too good to be true?

We purchased a 2001 32' double slide directly from the factory. Great coach. A big plus for us was the fiberglass roof. The only reason we traded was that we felt it was too small to full-time. At the time of purchase Rexhall's were all over the So Cal dealerships. Issues developed for them when they took too long reimbursing dealerships for warranty work. They wanted it done at the factory. Then the fire. Too bad. Our new coach is a BIG name unit. Had far fewer quality control issues with our Aerbus!
