looking for air governor

Have a 2004 Mandalay c7 on a freightliner chassis. Not making any air, can't hear leaks, looking for air regulator to tap to see if stuck. Called Cat was told location was at dryer, not there. Looked by comp. and on top of engine nothing there either. Does anyone have an idea where else to look?

If the governor is not on the air compressor,it will be remote mounted. There will be one small line, usually 1/4 that goes to the gov from the compressor.Follow that line to the gov.To test the gov, unhook that line. The compressor should build up air.
The comp will not quit at 120psi with this line unhooked,it will pump until the tank popoff goes off, about 150psi.

Thanks, will look at comp. again, hard to see with it being buried behind hoses and cabling and stuff.
