All the posts are good advise, I know you don't want a DP, but if you find a reasonably priced Fleetwood 40X floorplan, it has a midship tv and storage cabinet up front for all sorts of books/magazines/ and or coach manuals. Discovery, Excursion. maybe '09 bounder all came that way.

Don't let the front overhead TV be a determining factor, and prevent you from buying a rig you other wise love. Just because it's there does not mean you have to use it, put one somewhere else.

I don't like the front TV for watching from the couch.
But it is great for watching from the dinette table.

So after looking for 2 years I found and bought a RV that had a small couch across from the main one.
Replaced the small couch with a entertainment center.

32" LCD HD, home stereo surround sound system with 7 Bose speakers, DTV DVR HD receiver, DVD player, cassette player and VCR.

We love the floor plan in our 2002 Bounder 36U. A few of the reasons is the 32" TV in the floor mounted entertainment cabinet and the "L" shaped couch. It really was a big reason on us deciding to get this MH.

We have an 04/Rexhall Roseair with a 32" LCD that sits on a cabinet behind the drivers seat and across from the sofa... Works very well. We have been full-time (5000miles) in the Rexhall since February and no problems with the Coach.

Cheers
