Looking for Road Assistance for Newbie
My wife and I are ready to purchase a Tiffin Allegro Open Road 31 SA.
We have previously had a Hi-Low trailer, Montana 5th wheel and a Big Foot slide in camper. Never had roadside assistance on any of these. Figured I could handle flats and minor problems myself. After looking at the size of tires and wheels on this Class-A motorhome I think it is time for some help. Can someone give me advice on different road assistance companies for us to check out.
Many thanks, Danny

Danny
I use Good Sam Roadside Assistance (1-800-947-0770). I have used them for the last five years and have been quite happy with them.
There is another one I'm someone will post their name shortly. (I forget their name)
Just noticed the other one is a sponsor here Coach Net.

Check with your insurance company first. You might have all the roadside coverage you want with your existing Rv policy. We have State Farm and all the typical needs are covered (flat repair, fuel, towing). This saves us $100/year.

Usually the ones included with insurance policies are more limited in benefits than Coach-Net.

I have Coachnet with my National Interstate policy.
Didn't realize, so also have Good Sam
I think you should have no problems with service from either of them unless its in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere.

You get a free year of Coachnet with a NEW Tiffin purchase; so there's no need to buy another program right now.

I can't speak to others, but we've had CoachNet for a year now (since we bought the coach), and we're very pleased with them. Prompt, efficient, and friendly on the phone; they call you back when they say they will, and keep you in the loop. I've had to call them twice. Not the middle of the night, but both times late Sunday afternoon or evening. No hassles, no arguments, no weaseling. Both times they had a response on site within an hour or so, once involving a 45 mile tow into Pendleton OR. Neither call cost me a nickel.
My vehicle insurance on the coach also includes some level of roadside assistance, but only for specific failures, and with $$ limitations. For example, that $550 tow into Pendleton would have cost me a couple of hundred out of pocket. I elected from the outset to spend the extra $100/year so there are no questions. I have a problem, they send someone. To be fair, I've heard similar accolades from customers of Good Sam. I'm sure they're both professional. Good luck!

I too have had CoachNet road service for the past 12 years with 3 episodes of needing to be towed without problems.Very good service FOR THE PRICE.
