Looking for RV Village

Getting ready to retire in the near future. We currently live in Bangor, Maine. The weather is pretty extreme here and the excise tax on a Class A motorhome is OUTRAGEOUS. For these reasons I am looking for suggestions/recommendations about an RV community somewhere else. What I have in mind is perhaps a community where all the homes have attached RV garages. This might resemble the retirement communities that are around but with all the residents having an RV garage. Any suggestions of specific places or ideas on how to find these places would be most welcome.

One of the few I've found is Gardens RV Village. They seem to be expanding often enough with newer designs. If you look at older models watch out for the shorter garage door openings.

This is very much a personal decision. If you are set on a home with an RV garage then go for it. I might suggest looking around for lots/casitas/homes where a garage is not necessary because of beautiful weather at least part of the year. You can then use this as a base to travel from. The extra garage money you save can provide you with many wonderful experiences in your RV.

I don't know locations, but they are common in Florida. Tanglewood located in/north Sebring, Fl. comes to mind. They have a Web page with places for sale.
There is one section there with RV ports attached to the homes. Its a very nice park but the monthly rates are a little pricey if your a seasonal, but year round make's it more affordable

Mt Olive Shores and Lake Ashton, both in Florida.

By the way, Florida has no excise tax, no personal property tax, and no income tax. (And no snow)

Mount Olive North in Lakeland Fl. They will build to your needs. Two great club houses, lakes, close to Tampa but a country setting. There is also Mt. olive with existing manufactured homes and some have RV portals.
