I guess it depends on your definition of "good". If your looking for an agreement that covers everything you may consider having an attorney prepare it then he will be familiar with the agreement when you go to court to enforce it...and you will. Good luck with your rental.

You can write to Cruise America for a copy of theirs. http://m.cruiseamerica.com/rent/renters_resources/

I know you do not want advice but.....don't rent it out.

But your best bet is to spend the money and have an attorney prepare you a good contract.

contract isnt nearly as important as the "binder". Also if you have insurance... you will most likely have to add the renter to your policy. Especially if they are driving.

Unless somone gave me a deposit to cover the value of the motorhome it wouldn't leave my possesion. I don't care how good a contract you think you have it's only a piece of paper.

Why, for extra income. Why not, damages, law suits if someone gets hurt. Would you teach someone how to drive it,for instance if you have a front blow out floor it not slam on the brakes. The extra insurance coverage would probably take care of any money you might make. You need to take charge cards so you can get your money for damages which there will be.

Good luck but I'm way to fond and proud of mine to take a chance on someone else wrecking something. If I wreck something I only have myself to blame.I guess I bought it for me and the DW and no one else. With that said good luck on your adventure.

Have you talked to your accountant about this?

You may be able to claim it as a business and get certain tax advantages.

Have you asked your attorney about setting up an LLC, or limited liability corporation to protect your other assets if someone sues you?

Like mortgages on homes most lenders only allow the person that is on the title to live in and or operate. There are different loans if you choose to rent.

Personally I would check with your bank provided if you have a loan against it.

I rent mine out, but only for the weekend overnight lot at our local university's football games. Nobody drives it. I take it, filled with gas and water, and they tailgate for the weekend. The money allows us to afford the RV. However..... When you rent for someone to drive, commercial insurance is the starting point. There are so many nuances that I don't even know how to explain it to a first time user renter. If something goes wrong when they have it, it's areal pain in the a$$.
