Losing interest
Our last camp out was about 1.5 months ago @ Lake of the Ozarks StAte Park.
The entire weekend was just crap , Everytime id turn around there was something else to fix . One thing after another.
The icing on the cake was a blowout on the way home .
The blowout really only caused about 300.00 or so in damages , & I need to get new tires .
I really don't have any desire to spend the money or time fixing it . Hopefully I'll get out of the funk .

Build a little campfire in the back yard. Grab a lawn chair, a beer and some hotdogs. Think about all the good times. We all get in a funk once in a while.

I read about Class As, the repairs and operating costs, and I'm not surprised.

First trip in our new to us Magna cost us over $22,000 in engine repairs and hundreds since fixing what Cummins broke!
Almost totally ruined it for the DW, but then came the diagnosis of liver cancer. We will get out for the 4th and hopefully a trip to CA to visit a friend there before we start waiting for a call to come in for a transplant.
Be glad you have your health!

Yes, as the saying goes, I had no shoes and complained until I met a man with no feet.
Mr. D, Best wishes for you and your DW.

Yep, that's what we have to do(no campfire though). No fault of the MH though, both places we had planned to go to this week are surrounded by a wildfire, and we had our reservations cancelled. Two new fires broke out here today. We are in a major heatwave, and no place to go that we have the travel time to get to, even though I spent all last week washing/waxing the MH. Oh well at least we didn't get caught in the fire storm.

2 months after buying mine , I had a 7000$ radiator replacement under way. Who said "camping " was cheap ? Crack a beer and resign yourself to fixing problems, the bigger they are the more $ you'll spend having fun LOL

stepside,
Everything and anything MAN MADE is bound to break, sooner or later, it's inevitable. Some folks, the REAL lucky ones, don't have too many issues with their coaches, class A, B or, C, it don't matter which type. But the rest of us NORMAL people, do have issues and, it seems sometimes, quite often. If you think you have issues, you ought to see my Microsoft Excel spreadsheet on all of my maintenance, modifications, repairs, costs, parts lists, and more.
It's like a book. But, it's all part of ownership. When you get it all in order and, head out for a trip, then end up in a nice National Forest Campground where you're not "sardined" in like about 99.999% of most "RV" parks, then sit down after a days drive and enjoy the great pine air, quietness, enjoy the air moving through the pine trees, IT'S ALL WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!
And speaking of your blowout issue, I'll see that and raise you my present issue of a severely leaking forward bedroom slide ram. You talk about one serious pain in the a$$ repair. I've done it before and without a doubt, it's the hardest repair on this coach to date. Anyway, sit back, take things one at a time, repair each item and then, go find a great place to enjoy your RV. Good luck.
Scott

Many time it seems like we are on a reality show called "fix that MH!". I guess the thing to do is pay the price and still try to win the grand prize. A weekend out camping with a bunch of like minded folks sitting around the campfire telling MH repair stories!

Years ago we had a hybrid camper. We had the thing all packed for a long weekend trip. I had to triple pack since DH had the idea that he packs for one and I got to pack for myself and the kids... but I digress... Hubby did something really, really wrong and SET the ELECTRICAL system on fire! Lucky for us we were in the driveway and no major damage was done (other than cancelling our vacation and some new wiring) but I was ready then and there to just say *&^&* this and never bother "camping" again. But we got it fixed, back on the road in a month... all is well and we're still going... Hope you're up and out cruising real soon!
