Loss of power to slide outs

I have a 2016 Thor Venetian. After a 5 hour trip with generator running parked MH and turned off generator. With engine still running put out 2 slides and then BAM...no power to slides! The light for "slides ready" was not on. Checked fuse and it was good. Checked voltage on batteries ; house and chassis were both 13.0 v and the BIRD was not energizing the solenoid.
Called my dealer and he said to turn off engine and unplug the shore power. Then push and hold the Assist Start button and check the BIRD. I did and the BIRD was now energizing the solenoid. He then said start the engine and when I did the light for "slides ready" lit up and the slides started working again.
I asked why this solved the problem and he said sometimes things just have to be "reset". Sounds funny to me.
Anyone else seen this before??

Repost this under the THOR Owners Group. My THOR has a safety feature that won't allow the slides to move while the engine is running. Nonetheless, I have found that most of my electrical system issues are resolved by resetting the system, AND checking fuses, breakers and connections. I have a BIRD and Trombetta Troubleshooting tip sheet. Let me find it and I'll post for you.
