Lower Awning over slideout

I've got a new Winnie Journey with a power awning that comes out over our living room slideout. My question is can this awning be adjusted lower? The manual indicates that I can adjust it, but it would seem if that was done, the awning would hit the slideout. As it is the awning is very high and very flat....hardly any slope at all.

Hi mbrooking,
Power awnings are high and flat. If you lower the awning it will hit the slide. High and flat is what you (we) have. There is not much one can do about it. One could consider installing the drop down shades that go into the awning tube and can cut down on the sun and brightness.

I have one of the drop down shades from my previous rig. I used to just install it when needed before raising the shade. Without a ladder, I don't see using this when stopping. Is there a way to install the drop down shade, and letting it rollup with the awning?

A pretty useless addition, I recently opened mine so I could "Walk the Dogs" in the rain and stay dry. Being on their time schedule, when they were finished the awning had filled with water and would not retract. Had to do some pushing and draining to get it to come in. With the mechanical type you could put a list on it, no more.

I have a power awning over my slide. I was able to adjust it down somewhat, until it just clears the edge of the slide as it retracts. The improvement in angle is noticeable and it does help water drain off, but the whole thing is still too high to be very effective other than at high noon.
