LP smell in the heater but not outside??
I have a bit of a LP gas smell when I turn on my heater. The dealer said it was the regulator and (supposedly) put in a new one. I tested it, seemed to work fine, and took my unit home. So, we go out this weekend (2 weeks have passed now) and the heater works for about 15 mins.. then starts smelling again. Needless to say, we went without heat all weekend.
So, on to my question. How can there be smell when the heater is actually working? Seems to me the leaking gas would be burned up.. or leak outside. Not inside through the blower unit. Also, I had the gas on all weekend and didn't smell anything, inside or out and my tank is still 3/4 full. I would think that if it were leaking, the tank would go empty quickly and I'd smell it outside the rig.. or even inside the rig w/o the blower being on.
Anyone with ideas? (besides taking back to the dealer as the dealer is 125 miles away). If it's simple, I'd rather fix it myself or take it to a local Camping World.
