Magnum Energy

Hi. I just purchased a new Allegro Red and have 3 questions about Magnum Energy. Has anyone had an issue with the external temp probe not functioning properly?

Also, if I set my temp setting to 80 degrees and its 75 in the coach, why is the generator still turning on? The display temp in TECH page was reading 76.

Finally, I am hooked up at my father in laws with a 30amp connection. Why with running 1 AC and nothing else is the breaker at the house tripping periodically?

Thanks in advance for any help one may give!

you might get more responses if you asked the questions on allegro forum within this site.

Your ME inverter is also your house battery charger. If it is using a lot of amps charging your batteries, that draws more juice. Go into settings and set the charge rate to maybe 5 amps.

Do you have other AC loads like a residential fridge, maybe using the microwave or does your water heater have an electric element? Turn off other stuff.

Can't tell you why your auto gen start is starting the generator if your temp is set right. A call to Magnum for tech support might be in order.

x2 ^^
Welcome,
Others might also find it helpful to include more detailed info.
Your coach model, system type etc. There can be a number of systems that interact and trigger other events. Your inverter system may be trying to charge the battery array by means of the generator due to a low voltage condition.
That magnum remote temp probe is sensing the battery / compartment temp.
More than likely the A/C along with a myriad of other phantom power devices could be pulling more than 30A. refrig., water heater, Example: the converter / inverter depending on battery array state of charge could be requesting 50A by itself.

Happy motoring
