Maintenance Costs?

What do you guys typically pay for Maintenance items like oil changes, fuel filters (primary and secondary on DP's), general maintenance items and winterization/dewinterization. I know a lot of us do it ourselves, I am curious as to what it would cost to do while out on the road or lack of time to do it myself.

We have all our routine maintenance done at Speedco. The yearly maintenance, including oil & filter change, chassis lube, and generator service runs about $350. I watch them very close and question anything that seems unusual. So far so good!

$300.00 to $400.00 if we upgrade the fuel filters and have the tranny high velocity filters done!

If my Class A gas V10 is anything like my gas V10 F250 all I can expect is one oil change a year for the first 5 years at a cost of $35 do it your self each time

I just had my Cummins ISl engine oil and filter, Onan 7.5QD generator oil and filter and chassis lube done at Gene's RV in Apache Junction, AZ. Total cost was $355. I watched the work being performed. They did a good job.

On my old coach with an 8.1 Vortec I did the work myself. On the ISL, I have no way of containing and disposing of six gallons of engine oil. I'll do the next generator service myself.

Look into a Fumoto valve for the ISL. You can drain a gallon at a time. Used oil is accepted at most auto parts stores.....at least in my area it is.

If you can equip yourself to catch the drained oil, put a Fumoto valve on your ISL & continue to DIY. Walmart will take the old oil.

The $300 - $400 number is good when you include the genny. Everyother year I also have the mechanic check everything else - slack adjusters, change out marker lights, bad belts, etc. and that year it is $200 - $400 more. After that inspection - I have the satisfaction of having more confidence after a trained mechanic goes through my coach.

Picked my MH up from Truck Service Center in Tyler today. Level one service was around $475 and included air cleaner ($115).

I pay about $200-350 plus parts for a full service excluding the Gen which I do myself. I have paid anywhere from $450 to $900 depending on parts such as belts, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter etc. Not including taxes....
Most of the time, I supply my own parts that I know will be required ahead of time. As long as they do a good job, I don't begrudge anyone making a decent living at a fair price.

My last oil change and lube was $250.

That included oil filter(Dalielson), two fuel filters(Fleetguard), a water filter(Fleetguard), oil analysis and chassis lube.

KIX, are you using Fumoto? Wondering if it's a direct fit to Cummins engine drain.

Yes, I use one and it threads in directly, no adapters. My enigne is an ISC. In fact, I'getting one for the ONAN too but it will require an adapter due to recessed drain plug.
