Maintenance, fluids '06 Southwind

We just purchased a used (18,000 mi) southwind mh 2006 (We're very excited!!) What is the best time frequency for changing transmission, rear end, and engine oils? Is it pretty much the same as a regular auto or truck schedule? Are there special fluids that work better for RV'S ?
Thanks....JOHN AND JAN

If you don't have any service records then change the fluids right away , or before a long trip.
Then depending on , miles of use and fluid condition, 3years 24,000 miles on the trans and diff., A/Freeze, coolant as per manufacturer, Engine oil, I'm assuming gas here, 3,>5,000 miles on trips or when using frequently, or before any lengthy period of storeage, to get contaminants out of the pan, before they have a chance to sludge up. Oil types , well your going to hear from a lot of people on that. My 2c worth, follow the chassis makers recommendations.
BTW; Welcome to iRV2.

I know very little about a Southwind so I'd suggest you tell what chassis it is, gas/diesel - it does make a difference.

Hi John
I bought a HR 3 weeks ago and it didn't have records either. So I went to work. Changed Tranny fluid and filter, Coolant, Oil and filter in both engine and gen. greased Chassis. The coach only had 13000 miles but I figured it was best to know what and when service was done. Also took it to local workhorse shop and they ran a complete check of all systems to make sure everything was working okay.

Good luck with your southwind.
