We own a 2006 Mandalay 40E and absolutely love it. Bought it two years ago. We have put about 30,000 miles on it so far and have lived in it for several months. Everything works, all the time, however I think I'm going to need house batteries this winter. They are 7 years old and showing early signs of weakening.
About the only difference between the '05 and the '06 is the windshield. The '06 is a one-piece while the '05 is a two-piece windshield. They use the same chassis (Freightliner XCS) same engine & transmission (Cummins ISL and Allison 3000) and most of the interior appointments are the same.
We are very happy with ours!

Next door neighbor has an 04 model. They love it. We just got home from 2500 mile trip to Key West and back and they had no problems.

We own a 2005 Mandalay 40B see sig, and love it, just upgraded to a residential refrigerator (Samsung RF18) replacement for the RF197 should have replaced years ago. Good luck.

We have a 2008 Mandalay 40g. We love everything about it. We just bought it 16 months ago and have put close to 15,000 miles on it. It has the Cummins ISL 400hp with 1200 ft lbs torque, and the Allison 3000 transmission. We tow a Chevy HHR and average 7.4 mpg.

Add me to the list of happy owners. It's our first MH and does just about everything we'd like to have done. Ours is the smaller, entry-level, Valencia model, which gives us 9.5MPG and takes away that opposing couch on the passenger side (which we don't need).
When I get the urge, we'll trade countertops for ceramic, and install wood floors. The basic coach doesn't need much changing.

Hello everyone: I took am very interested in the Mandalays, specifically the 40H model which seem to be very difficult to find. We are looking at around 2005-2007. Anyone there own one of these models? thanks,

Thanks to everyone above who provided the positive Mandalay comments - we are now on the lookout for one (2006-2007) preferably the 40H model and they are very difficult to find (what does that tell you?). We want to buy one in Canada because of the value of our Can $$ Wish us luck!
